Kanhan And Pench Rivers Boundaries

The northern range of hills extends along the whole border, being pierced only in two places where the Kanhan and Pench rivers have broken through. On the west it consists merely of the outlying foothills of the Satpuras, the plateau proper lying behind them in Chhindwara. But from the Kanhan to the Pench, the Satpura themselves enter the District, and the ascent of the Khamarpani plateau is made in Nagpur. Along this length the hills are well – wooded and picturesque, and there is some striking scenery on the Pench River. The old Gond fort of Bhiugarh stands on this range the only large block of government forest in the District is situated on these hills between the Kanhan and Bawanthari. The cultivated villages are scattered here and there in the tiver-valleys, and the country is very pleasing and well- wooded, open glades alternating with patches of forest and clearings of cultivation. Mahua trees and tanks abound, and the Gond villages, with their clean little streets and meat back-gardens, have a far more picturesque appearance than the monotonous mud walls of the more imposing hoses in the rich villages of the plain country.

Romantic Places in Nagpur Best Spots for Couple

22/06/2026

Every city has its secret grammar of romance — the bench where someone finally said it, the lakeside where two people decided to stay. Nagpur is no different, except that it keeps this grammar mostly to itself. You won't find it on a sponsored travel listicle. You find it at 7:30 PM on a Tuesday, at the Futala promenade, when the coloured fountain kicks in and two people sitting on that low wall quietly forget they ever had a fight. This is a city that doesn't market its romanticism, which is partly why it survives. Nagpur couples
